Rockets 5 Bruins 4

Colin Long scored twice as the Kelowna Rockets beat the Chilliwack Bruins 5-4 in Kelowna Wednesday night. Despite the loss, the Bruins (26-34-4-5) remain in 7th place in the Western Conference, three points ahead of the Kamloops Blazers. Both teams have three games left in the regular season. The Blazers are in Chilliwack Friday night.

Jamie Benn, Brandon McMillan and Luke Schenn also scored for the Rockets (37-25-2-6). Torrie Jung made seven saves on 11 shots in the victory.

Evan Pighin scored twice and Jadon Potter notched a goal and two assists for the Bruins (26-34-4-5), while Nick Holden counted his 21st of the season.. Mark Friesen and Matt Esposito, who replaced Friesen to start the third period combined for 27 saves in the loss.

Chilliwack is back in action Friday night when they host the Kamloops Blazers. Game time is 7pm. Tickets for all Bruins home games can be purchased online, by phone (1-800-663-9311) or in person at any ticketmaster location.

Tickets for the first two Bruins home playoff games will be on sale beginning Friday March 14th at 10am.
