The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce the hiring of Derek Amalfa for the position of Director of Ticket Sales. Amalfa joins the Bruins from the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League. As Director of Ticket Sales, Amalfa’s primary duties will be to grow the Bruins season ticket base while creating and executing programs to grow the group, multi-pack, and casual fan-base for the club.

“I’m excited to join the Bruins organization,” said Amalfa. “I’m looking forward to living in a new area of the country and to the challenge of the job. From everything I’ve heard Chilliwack is a great hockey city.”

“We feel that creating this new position is a key component in our efforts to continue to grow our fan base,” stated Bruins President Darryl Porter. “Derek brings good level of experience to our organization and we’re excited to have him on board.”

Derek Amalfa Bio:

Derek enters his first season with the Bruins after coming over from the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League. An Honours Graduate of Brock University’s Sport Management program, he has spent the past two seasons with the Ice Dogs after one season with the Ottawa Lynx Baseball Club. Derek brings a variety of experience and a true passion for junior hockey and sports. Away from the rink he enjoys golf, playing baseball, and the outdoors.
